Discovering a new Paradigm

par·a·digm: (pār'ə-dīm', -dĭm')
1. A set of assumptions, concepts, values, and practices that constitutes a way of viewing reality for the community that shares them, especially in an intellectual discipline.

shift:
1. to put (something) aside and replace it by another or others; change or exchange: to shift friends; to shift ideas.
2. to move from one place, position, direction, etc., to another.

If you're anything like me then you know what it's like to dream big, only to get blindsided by the surprising fast pace of life. You often make plans, discuss things only to find that 3 months have passed and you're still not implementing what you set out to do. You're full of life, talent and knowledge, knowing that you can and will achieve great things but are fighting to break the pattern in life that seems to be holding you back.
As a husband for 14 years and Father of 7 children, working in full-time ministry, I like many of you have dreams and goals that I've carried with me for over a decade. Yet the challenges of life often derail or divert my attention, time slips by and I wish I hadn't waisted precious moments where I could have been working on using the gifts God's given me to achieve my goals.

For the next year I will be documenting my journey in shifting my paradigm. Striving towards the renewing of my mind as I change the way I think about my Body, my Spirit and my
Intellectual growth.

I know that many of you who stumble across this might "have it all together". Perhaps you have discovered the truth that "anything the mind can conceive one can achieve. Or you might be someone who has been able to change the way you look at food, eating healthy and working out daily. You might be one of those organized individuals who has meaningful family time each week. And maybe, you have discovered the fascinating beauty of an uncreated God who in His awesome majesty delights in you, desires affections of your heart and transforms your life simply by gazing upon His beauty. If so, I invite you to follow along and help me out in my journey.
If NOT... I invite you to journey along with me as I spend the next year of my life experiencing a necessary paradigm shift that will enrich my body, mind and spirit. I don't have all the answers, but I'm willing to put myself on display so that hopefully you will.
